See attached dmesg. (There are also a number of additional WARNs and BUGs that occur after the hardware is reset.)

I did not encounter this issue on vanilla 4.14.xx kernels; I only encountered this issue after upgrading from the 4.14 to 4.19 LTS series.

Please cherry pick this on 4.19. if it works, we'll send the patch for inclusion in 4.19 branch.

FWIW: I sent the fix to Greg to be included in 4.19. Didn't get any answer yet.
