Description alan 2017-02-24 02:21:26 UTC
Messages displayed at boot on Ubuntu :

efi: requested map not found.
esrt: ESRT header is not in the memory map.

Is there a patch or a solution for 4.8.xx kernels ?

Messages are shown in red in the result of the dmesg command. I guess they're considered critical. It seems that someone in the community have created a patch to solve these error messages.

Hi,

Hans de Goede patches seems to solve the problem.

This should be fixed in v4.11-rc5 by the following patch,

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=822f5845f710e57d7e2df1fd1ee00d6e19d334fe
