Created attachment 1755 [details] Contains dmesg from both warm and cold boot and dsdt file from proc, etc, etc... Thanks and let me know if you need any more info.
did you have a battery online? Thanks
Yep, I had a battery in the system, not sure what you mean about mounted. But that prompted me to do some more poking. Pretty much I get that error on every cold boot no matter if I have just the main notebook battery or also the extra battery installed. HOWEVER, I found out that on cold boots when I am under battery power I do NOT have those problems. So basically the problem only exists: * Cold booting the notebook under A/C Power It works fine when: * Cold boot under battery power * Warm boot under A/C power I did go into /proc/acpi and verify that when I do get those errors there is both no battery info or thermal info available. Again, anything I can do to help - let me know! Bill
Strike the comment I made about mounting... I was thinking online...
does below info exist even when you cold boot with battery online? >ACPI: Battery Slot [BAT1] (battery absent) >ACPI: Battery Slot [BAT2] (battery absent) when you warm boot, can battery info be reported correctly? can you verify if battery info is correct under WinXP?
