does S3 work well on your laptop?
Comment 2 Cristian Aravena Romero 2010-06-18 02:39:35 UTC
How do I know that?
Comment 3 Zhang Rui 2010-06-18 02:50:54 UTC
If you have never suspend your machine and you are not going to suspend it in the future, please ignore this warning message as it only affects the machine suspend/resume.

Or else, you can try to suspend your machine by either clicking the suspend button in the "shut down menu" or running "echo mem > /sys/power/state" as root user.
Comment 4 Cristian Aravena Romero 2010-06-18 02:57:22 UTC
#echo mem > /sys/power/state

Suspend work fine =) problem with hibernate, see bug #15839
Comment 5 Zhang Rui 2010-06-18 03:02:12 UTC
(In reply to comment #4)

so this warning message is harmless.
please ignore it.

I don't have any idea about this bug, sorry that I can not help. :p

Bug closed.

I also get this warning message with 2.6.35, though in my case my laptop *does* fail to suspend. That may be a gfx driver issue as it is a hybrid graphics laptop (nouveau & i915).

Is there a way I can test if this is the cause of my suspend problems?

Thanks,

Charles
