+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #12187 +++ Latest working kernel version:2.6.31 Earliest failing kernel version:2.6.32 Distribution: Gentoo Hardware Environment: MSI PR200 Software Environment: Problem Description: Some time after booting the laptop the system stops seeing the battery charge state. The problem also appeared in kernels prior to 2.6.31, but it appeared so rarely (days after booting) that I can't really say what was the last kernel when it worked OK. In 2.6.32 it is wrong right after boot. For example, with fully charged battery and power cable connected: leonid@looptop ~ % cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: charged present rate: unknown remaining capacity: unknown present voltage: 10000 mV leonid@looptop ~ % cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT1/charge_now -1000
