I just booted into 2.6.31 and the issue appears to no longer exist. 2.6.31: [ 1.659011] usb 5-1: SerialNumber: 002243ABFC41 [ 1.659317] usb 5-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 2.500036] Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -77742777 ns) [ 2.565821] eeepc_laptop: Hotkey init flags 0x41 [ 2.569623] eeepc_laptop: TYPE (2000000) not reported by BIOS, enabling anyway [ 2.579751] eeepc_laptop: PANELPOWER (4000000) not reported by BIOS, enabling anyway [ 2.579761] eeepc_laptop: Get control methods supported: 0x6101713 2.6.28: [ 0.888135] intelfb: 00:02.0: Intel(R) 945GME, aperture size 256MB, stolen memory 7932kB [ 0.892611] intelfb: Non-CRT device is enabled ( LVDS port ).
