This entry is being used for tracking a regression from 2.6.28.  Please don't
close it until the problem is fixed in the mainline.

Ok, more info:

It works ok in 2.6.28.

It is repeatable by both ^c-ing the pppd or pressing red key on telephone to terminate the connection. Machine dies a brief moment after disconnect; "connection terminated" still gets to the log.

It happened many times in X; sometimes I see keyboard LEDs panic blink, sometimes not.

When repeated on the console, I get

BUG: spinlock bad magic on CPU#0, swapper/0

(and hard hang).
