Hi guys!
Problem with Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon and a new notebook with sky lake hardware.
Notebook model: UX305CA

1) install linux mint 17.3 cinnamon
2) touchpad is not working!
3) dist-upgrade
4) touchpad not working
5) install some new kernel (newer then de default 3.19.0-32)
6) touchpad not working
7) install kernel v4.5-rc6-wily
8) touchpad NOW working!
9) PROBLEM: only if i use the touchpad to work with the pc, i get ugly artefacts at the half of the screen! its black and fragmented. they appear during moving the mouse with my fingers. they get more and stronger if i hover specific kind of elements @ screen. it gets very hard if i hover the desktop icons, or the main mint menu (bottom left) or if i want to see the tooltips right before the clock in the task bar (bottom right). the artefacts are reall annoying... they disappear after a few milliseconds. but if i hover much items in a short time within the main menu, the half of the whole screen flickers with black artefacts - its just ugly and close to disusability.

any help is greatly appreciated!
will this get fixed soon or is there any trick to fix this by my self?
anyone else having this problem?? (i think all users of the UX305CA).
