Using Ubuntu 8.04 I get a slow resume from suspend with a COMRESET error for my drive if I have previously enabled sata link power management. Does this explicitly need to be disabled before suspending, or should the kernel be handling this situation by explicitly waking up the link on resume?
I guess this is a SATA problem. Perhaps ALPM?
It is indeed ALPM, and having moved from 2.6.24 to 2.6.27, the problem has gone away.
Yeah, prefer-COMRESET patch must have fixed this problem.
