I've noticed that using dhcp "kills" device. Please try to reproduce this bug with latest kernel image. I've tried the (rev 15) hardware with kernel 5.6.12 and it works. I tried with Kernel 5.11 and it sometimes work sometimes not. It's still buggy. r8168 works always. (In reply to Csaba Tímár from comment #4) > I tried with Kernel 5.11 and it sometimes work sometimes not. It's still > buggy. > r8168 works always. A new report would have been better than replying to a 6 yrs old ticket. Also you mave a different chip version. 1. Please describe in more detail what does not work Error loading driver? Link not established? Communication errors? 2. Please provide a full dmesg log 3. Please provide output of "ethtool -i <interface>" I also have problems with Realtek pcie gbe family controller 8168 Before installation internet is working. Kernel error message related to network hardware appears during installation. I tried lastest Fedora 34 KDE, Fedora 34 xfce, Kubuntu 21.04, Ubuntu 21.04. Fedora 34 Gnome - distro that was able to use the Internet after installation. But at first, the operating system could not find the connection for a long time. |
