Desktop often freeze on all kernels 2.18.x and now on kernel 3.19-rc5 too.
There is issue on freedesktop: https://www.libreoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=87244
Workaround from that issue seems works for me.

My mistake, due bugs.freedesktop.org and bugs.freedesktop.org is still same site.
