I'm not an expert here, but when I remember looking back on the logs they all said pretty much the same that I can remember, showing USB in them... I'm using a laptop with a logitech usb keyboard and mouse, but what I've noticed in the past is, my laptop has 2 ports on each side, and if I kept the usb receiver for the keyboard and mouse both on the same side, it seems like I'd see this. Is there any such thing as an overload with USB, that can trigger something like this? So for now I put one receiver on each side of the laptop to test and see if this still occurs... Still seems odd to have 2 receivers plugged in, next to each other, that would trigger this panic... hmm I'm not getting this problem in 3.10.64, so I don't know what changed in the latest stable kernels from 3.16x -3.18x to cause lockups with USB on bootup... I'm also getting these USB lock ups on boot in 3.18.3 I do not get this in 3.10x, has anything changed in regards to USB support in 3.16x, 3.17x, and 3.18x? I wanted to report that I've been using 3.14x for the last 3 versions and not one problem. LTS kernels are not giving me this problem if that helps any... I hope I'll see an improvement when 3.19x goes stable. |
