Description Harald Brennich 2014-11-20 13:43:47 UTC
Environment:
Hardware: Toshiba Satellite L755-161 notebook
Graphics: NVIDIA Corporation GF108M [GeForce GT 525M]
System: openSuse 13.1 / 13.2
Kernel: 3.16.6-2-vanilla
Graphics driver: nouveau

Details:
1. s2ram - works
2. resume
The external monitor connected via HDMI stays blank, the power LED blinks. Unplugging the monitor or switching off/on does not help.
3. Open the notebooks lid
The login form is displayed on the notebooks monitor. After login, the system seems to work normal with the exception of the blank external monitor.
Login is also possible without opening the lid, so everything seems to be ok except the HDMI port.
The only way to make the HDMI port work again seems to be a reboot.

With kernel 3.14.24 the external monitor works after resume

Some new results with openSuse 13.2 :
Kernel 3.16.7-32-desktop: suspend/resume work outs of the box
Kernel 3.16.7-32-vanilla: external monitor connected via HDMI stays black after resume from suspend
