i also a serrch in internet, and i found, this problem is
http://lists.debian.org/debian-kernel/2007/06/msg00013.html
i e a kernel 2.6.18 also have a this problem.
Comment 1 Greg Kroah-Hartman 2007-08-01 16:21:17 UTC
Did you tell the pl2303 driver to bind to this device, or did it do it on its own?

Can you try out the 2.6.23-rc1 kernel to see if that solves this problem?
Comment 2 inguna 2007-08-06 09:52:29 UTC
>Did you tell the pl2303 driver to bind to this device, or did it do it on its
>own?

what i see / recognize it?

full dmesg from 2.6.23rc1:
strange in dmesg at start it write a ver 2.6.22.1 - i download a patch from
kernel org, copy it to /usr/src/2.6.22.1/, and bzcat patch23rc1.bz2 |
patch -p1
patchink like ok ( no errors messaages), then i run make menuconfig, and
compile all - again, without errors.
btw, first bug:unable to handle... in dmesg is _before_ a insert huawei
card...?
second bug: unable to handle is after a insert huawei card....

Comment 4 Natalie Protasevich 2007-11-08 04:50:47 UTC
Any update with this problem please?
Thanks.
Comment 5 Daniel Kozák 2007-12-26 14:18:51 UTC
Problem is in files pl2303.h and option.c, because both have a bindings for this modem. And kernel try to use both. Someone should to delete the product and vendor from one of them.
