since the power button works, it seems that ACPI and the kerenl are working fine, and perhaps this is an X problem with the distro. Do the various software methods of shutting down work? eg. "init 0" and the halt(8) family of commands? Please reopen this bug if: - it is still present with kernel 2.6.21 and - you can provide the requested information. |
