patch to revert two patches
Just to confirm it's the same issue other people ran into:
- Does applying this patch (that reverts two patches) fix it?
- If not, does 2.6.19.2 work?
- That's a parallel ATA (not SATA) drive?
this drive is lg gsa-4163b ata drive. I probing not the 2.6.19.2. Oliver, did you get chance to test the patch from #1? Do you need any help or explanation how to test the patch? Thanks. the pktcdvd modul I use some times not. in this date (2007.02.02.) only I tested, this device, but longer use it not. (yes, I know, how the diff or patch functioniert, I use git for "my" little tree) Well, thanks anyway. If you happen to get back to that drive, let us know if it works now. Maybe this bug should be closed as not reproducible and/or linked to other similar reports? We have two things going on here. - the packet driver gets an IO error - UDF fails to handle that properly and goes oops. I _think_ I fixed the packet driver problem in cbc31a475a7f7748bd0a4e536533868e7cff8645 on 25 April 2007. That fix will have made it harder to reproduce (and hence fix) the UDF oops, if it's still there. I dunno. I guess we can tentatively close this report. |
