Please post the 'cat /proc/acpi/batttery/*/*' output. Please try the latest kernel version, 2.6.19-rc2-git3 is available now. This case's symptoms are similar to ones represented in the resolved Bug 6980. Those workarounds should help here too. Also, kernel version, 2.6.19-rc2-mm2 is available now too. suresh@etherkiller:~ sudo cat /proc/acpi/battery/*/* alarm: unsupported present: yes design capacity: 4000 mAh last full capacity: 4000 mAh battery technology: rechargeable design voltage: 14800 mV design capacity warning: 420 mAh design capacity low: 156 mAh capacity granularity 1: 264 mAh capacity granularity 2: 3780 mAh model number: PA3206U serial number: 3658Q battery type: Li-Ion OEM info: COMPAL present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: charged present rate: 0 mA remaining capacity: 4000 mAh present voltage: 16377 mV What I currently have is an ubuntu distro kernel so if you could point me to a specific patch(es) in the 2.6.19 mm tree that fixes these, I'll file a bug report with the ubuntu kernel package maintainer. In the meantime I'll try acpi_serialize as advised in the previous bug 6980 thanks srs > What I currently have is an ubuntu distro kernel so if you could point me to a > specific patch(es) in the 2.6.19 mm tree that fixes these, I'll file a bug > report with the ubuntu kernel package maintainer. > In the meantime I'll try acpi_serialize as advised in the previous bug 6980 First of all please try 'acpi_serialize'. Sorry, I thought I replied to this. acpi_serialize works just fine. thanks srs |
