Description Jacob 2014-03-21 21:01:44 UTC
I really would like this fixed. I know it is a problem with almost all the Toshiba Satellite Laptops. I tried enabling the battery icon in settings but it does not work. Any distro I try seems to have the problem I am experiencing. Currently I am using Arch Linux and still a no go. I go on multiple forums with people having the same problems as me and only old ways to fix it. No current ways to fix it on the newer kernels.

Please provide the output of acpidump and "grep . /sys/class/power_supply/*/*"
Comment 2 Jacob 2014-03-24 18:03:29 UTC
I am unclear of the exact command I should use.
Comment 3 Lan Tianyu 2014-03-31 04:29:30 UTC
# acpidump > acpidump //Run acpidump command, produce the "acpidump" file and attach it.

#grep . /sys/class/power_supply/*/* > sysfs //Run grep command and attach the sysfs file.

Did you get my information? I attached the files that you asked to examine. Hopefully this problem can be worked out because I love Linux but this problem still persists.
Comment 7 Lan Tianyu 2014-04-11 04:54:01 UTC
Sorry. Later response. Busy on the other things. Please attach the output of dmesg. run "dmesg > dmesg" and attach the dmesg file.

How do I fix this bug. I am unsure of how to do it on my machine.
Comment 14 Lan Tianyu 2014-04-18 03:24:30 UTC
Please see the bug 67251. So far, locate it as Bios issue and it needs overrides ACPI DSDT table.
