What does powertop show for the CPU residency values ? Also what is in dmesg for intel idle ? Is the intel thermal daemon running on this machine ? Is this a regression -- did a previous release of Linux give you lower temperatures? Is there a fan on this notebook, and does it spin? please attach the output from acpidump trex, any update? Bug closed as there is no response from the bug reporter for four months. Please feel free to reopen it if the problem still exists in the latest upstream kernel. |
