Output of hwinfo

If I change the backlight brightness using the brightness keys on my keyboard, sometimes the system freezes. SysRq doesn't work. Mobility radeon 5470 with KMS enabled. I first noticed this when upgrading openSUSE from 12.3 (3.7.10) to 13.1 (3.11.6). I have to use "acpi_backlight=vendor" to disable acpi_video0, which isn't working and has a higher priority than radeon_bl0.

Reproducible: Always

The hwinfo was created with the older, working kernel running.

Can you bisect?
Comment 2 Fabian 2014-01-09 16:21:38 UTC
I'll try it but it'll take a while..
Comment 3 Fabian 2014-06-20 19:13:01 UTC
I tried to bisect it but somehow it got very hard to reproduce at some point.
I had to change the backlight for almost a minute before it freezes and with the new 3.15.0-rc4 I'm running on I can't reproduce it with normal usage.
I can't tell for sure whether it's fixed, but it works definitely reliable enough for me, so closing as "unreproducible" for now.
