First, please update the ALSA version to the latest one. Then, need more precise description about your hardware. What it is, how many jacks it has and what is supposed by each, etc. Preferabbly, it'd be nice if you know which widget pin node id correspond to which jack. If it's unknown, check /proc/asound/card0/codec#* files, at least. This is motherboard Asus P5LD2-VM (Intel 945g + ICH7 + ALC882). On board are SPDIF, AAFP (Front Panel Headphone and Mic), CD-in connector and back rear panel with 6 ports with prowide 2,4,6 and 8 channel configuration: port 2-ch 4-ch 6-ch 8-ch ------------------------------------------- Blue line-in l-in l-in l-in Green l-out front-SP fr-SP fr-SP Pink Mic-in mic-in mic-in mic-in Orange rear-SP rear-SP rear-SP Black side-SP Gray center/sub center/sub ====================================================== BIOS prowide falowing configuration: Advanced > Onboard dev.> HD Audio Contr. > Front Panel Support Type: HD Audio or AC97 (I use HD, actualy i tested both and didn't find diff.) Alexey, Let's refresh this problem - can you please test with the latest kernel? There were lots of fixes posted for media devices, I know that fiesty has updates that let most of our problem media devices just work. Can you give it a shot, or just try latest 2.6.22-rc5? Thanks. Please reopen this bug if it's still present with kernel 2.6.22. |
