*** Bug 5219 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I don't think is a kernel or driver bug. Make sure that you have no other process accessing the sound device concurrently. Tried 2.6.14-rc1 and even dropped down to just X + an xterm and the same problem. DVD's with 5.1 audo fail. DVD's without 5.1 audio work. Seems sometihng in the ALSA update post 2.6.13 broke sometihng in xine, ogle and mplayer work with DVD's with 5.1 audio under 2.6.14-rc1 but I'm not sure ho much they use the 5.1 stuff... OK thanks for your time. I'll check the xine side of things. You likely need the latest version of alsa-lib. Yep thats it! Cheers. |
