Description Fred Stevens 2012-05-30 13:57:49 UTC
System crashes when trying to manipulate large files (> 1GB) on a Tyan S2460 using XFS file system. Don't know about other file systems as I haven't tested them. I use XFS almost exclusively. Haven't been able to get any debug information presently either. Looks like the issue had been fixed up until kernel version 2.6.33 or so. I am running 3.2.13-smp presently (two processors, 3.5GB ram, PATA hard disks) and Slackware 13.37 with Slackware-current kernel. Maybe this isn't the correct place to report this bug?? If not, my apologies. I'll submit a new report in the correct category if that is the case.

Cheers,

Fred

Hey Fred,

The best place to report a bug is on the xfs@oss.sgi.com mailing list. This is
just fine too. If you get an opportunity can you attach the output of
'echo t > /proc/sysrq-trigger'?

Thanks,
Ben
