similar bug on launchpad

Does not change the screen brightness on Samsung R540, Samsung NC110
When using the charger is always the maximum (or near) the brightness when running on battery is close to the minimum
Ubuntu 12.04 beta updated from 11.10 i386
had a similar problem on ubuntu 11.10 with linux-image-3.3.0-030300rc7-generic_3.3.0-030300rc7.201203101735_i386
had a similar problem on ubuntu 11.10

Does the boot option acpi_backlight=vendor help ?
