I am hitting exact same thing. Wifi is unusable on my laptop because of this bug. Its been more than 2 months since this report was filed. Is anyone looking at this issue? seems like its fixed in 3.4-rc7 I spoke too soon. The only thing fixed in the 3.4-rc7 are the errors related to not being able to attach driver, which led to complete loss of wifi. Now, the wifi works intermittently. Starts off fine but gradually reaches 1Mb/s rate and then disconnects until you rmmod and modprobe again. 11n_disable=1 helps with this (meaning the connection never tapers off to full disconnection) but it limits the speeds and distance from router. I have a similar problem with my Centrino Advanced-N 6235 on gentoo 3.2.12 with net-wireless/iwl6030-ucode (version 17.168.5.2) The error occurs when i start wpa_supplicant. It is slightly different from the one Munzir Taha describes (c.f. attachment above, ,"dmesg-output") I'm also curious to know when there will be a fix... I am now using ubuntu quantal with linux-image-3.5.0-15-generic (3.5.0-15.22) and I don't see the problem any more. I would close it as resolved but if any one still have it with the latest kernel, feel free to reopen. |
