This is to confirm that 3.1.8 worked fine on the mentioned systems (now, I'm going to build 3.1.10 and check it). I found that kernel 3.2.1 from the ALT Linux distribution work OK on the mentioned hardware. I'll try to find some time to try to build vanila kernel 3.2.1 with 'make allnoconfig', then ALT's patched version -- and if the former crashes and the latter doesn't I'll compare patches. Can you bisect the failure using git-bisect? That will be faster than manually picking testing points. |
