Description Ben Smith 2004-12-03 07:44:02 UTC
Distribution: Mandrake 10.1
Hardware Environment: GA-7VTXH+
Software Environment:
Problem Description:
A few minutes ago my USB mouse froze. I found this in the log:

Dec 3 10:16:10 benhs kernel: uhci_hcd 0000:00:11.3: host system error, PCI
problems?
Dec 3 10:16:10 benhs kernel: uhci_hcd 0000:00:11.3: host controller halted,
very bad!
Dec 3 10:16:54 benhs kernel: usb 2-1: USB disconnect, address 2

It's only recently that I've started using the USB mouse, and when I did a grep
on the error message I found that it had also happened a week or so ago. I
don't recall seeing it under 2.4.
I tried to rmmod uhci_hcd, but rmmod just hung. It looks like the only way to
get USB working is to reboot.

I'm pretty sure this is already fixed in 2.6.10-rc2, could you test that?

If not, please reopen this bug, it will be automatically assigned to the
