if nolapic resolv the prblem, stay with nolapic on boot option. if it is it is a know bug with local apics and works well with nolapic try to follow the bug 1269 > Local APIC disabled by BIOS -- reenabling. Please re-open if linux-2.6.9 doesn't boot w/o any parameters. It will not enable the lapic by default, but you'll be able to explicitly enable it with "lapic" if you want. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 1269 *** |
