Summary:	I am trying to install ubuntu 20.04 LTS on hp probook 440 G4 from a usb and the installation freezes. But it gives me this error. any help

Does it continue booting after this messages or the installer gets stuck?

Could you post the entire picture?

Can you try something fresher, e.g. Ubuntu 22.04? Or even Fedora 37?

The installer gets stuck on selecting normal or minimal installation page. I have waited for almost 4 hours but it didn't respond.

yes I have tried installing Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04 and 22.10. Didn't tried fedora.

Please try Fedora 37.



As for Ubuntu please remove `quiet` `splash` and `vt.handoff=7` boot options and try to boot again. This time you must get a whole lot more information.

Even this might not be enough to get proper debugging output, in this case please follow:
