I think this is related to #206653. Hello, These errors messages are no longer present on console at boot if patch proposed in Comment #14 of kernel bug 206653 is applied. Great job. Passing Resolved Fixed. |
Created attachment 290435 [details] lspci -v output for system hardware Hello, With a 5.0 kernel or newer (see with a 5.0, 5.3 and 5.4 on Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 and on a 5.7.9 kernel on a Mageia Cauldron system), every time my system is booting, I see the following errors on console : (also find it in a "# journalctl -b -p err" command): juil. 21 08:50:07 mageia.localdomain kernel: nvidia-gpu 0000:01:00.3: i2c timeout error e0000000 juil. 21 08:50:07 mageia.localdomain kernel: ucsi_ccg 0-0008: i2c_transfer failed -110 juil. 21 08:50:07 mageia.localdomain kernel: ucsi_ccg 0-0008: ucsi_ccg_init failed - -110 juil. 21 08:50:07 mageia.localdomain kernel: ucsi_ccg: probe of 0-0008 failed with error -110 This system is based on an Intel i5 6600K CPU with a Gigabyte Z170 motherboard and a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1660 Ti PCI-E Graphic Card. There is no USB-C connector on these graphic card. Despite these hideous errors, system works fine after boot and NVIDIA 440.100 drivers are correctly functioning, even suspend to ram. $ uname -a : Linux mageia.localdomain 5.7.9-desktop-1.mga8 #1 SMP Thu Jul 16 09:02:00 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I am available for more informations.
