FYI, without, snd_intel_dspcfg: dsp_driver=1, no driver is detected and I only get dummy output option. Sound works well in windows. I have made sure fast boot is turned off and have tried it with many hard shutdowns. I also own Lenovo S740 and I have exactly same problem. Running 5.8rc6 now. In my setup, the SOF driver is used. I've filed a bug on SOF tracker bugtracker: https://github.com/thesofproject/sof/issues/3209. If things used to work on this device, maybe the best advice would be to try with an older kernel and try to narrow down when the problem occurred. I would try with 4.19, then 5.4, then bisect as needed. I went back as far back as to 4.14, but still had no sound. Tried 4.4, but it wouldn't boot on my machine. |
