this is rediculous, my Dell precison has 5540 , AX 200 card, frequently disconnects witht the 5Ghz connections. im using 5.3 kernel firmware. im in wonder, how intel is able to sell the products (like AX 200, even security defective cpus) with the so buggy firmwares to the customers with the unstable connections?? A similar bug used to exist for Intel 9560 adapters, but the bug is now closed and has been fixed since kernel version 5.3 according to this comment: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203593#c73 Does anybody know if this bug can be fixed once for all Intel adapters or if each adapter model needs a specific fix? It's is still buggy, I am using 5.6.11 Arch-kernel with the up to date Linux-firmware package. Frequency become less, Now its disconnects once every 1Hr, previously it was once a 15min gap. Nice improvements. Same bug at Deepin OS v20. :~$ uname -a Linux deep 5.7.7-amd64-desktop #75 SMP Mon Aug 24 20:38:46 CST 2020 x86_64 GNU/Linux :~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Deepin Description: Deepin 20 Release: 20 I have issues with 5GHz wifi APs using the AX201 in a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga (gen 6). Sometimes I need to reboot the laptop because connection is just too slow. Rebooting fixes the issue for a while. My logs are full of messages like the ones mentioned above. I copy just in case. kernel: iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Unhandled alg: 0x707 I can understand packet injection is not a priority and this [1] will never get fixed), but this issue, and others involving bluetooth sudden disconnections, are simply not acceptable. [1]: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214291 I think this issue started to affect me after updating linux-firmware to version 20220310. With kernel 6.5-rc3 this got really annoying. Disconnects every minute, from 5 and 2.4 GHz. ``` [ 2.566028] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: TLV_FW_FSEQ_VERSION: FSEQ Version: 89.3.35.37 [ 2.566400] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: loaded firmware version 77.206b0184.0 QuZ-a0-hr-b0-77.ucode op_mode iwlmvm [ 3.132593] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Detected Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz, REV=0x351 ``` |
