dmesg with one monitor - all fine
There is a bug report about this with more information over at freedesktop.org https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110674 It affects 5.1 and 5.2 while 5.0 was fine. I can confirm this bug, using kernels 5.1 or higher with two DP monitors connected leaves me unable to boot. Disconnecting one monitor makes it work as expected. If i boot with a single monitor and then plug in the second one after booting the system crashes with graphical corruption. On older kernels everything works fine. I have the same monitors as sehellion and can confirm this issue with Radeon VII is still not fixed in 5.3-rc3. Still not fixed on 5.3-rc6. Created attachment 284781 [details]
dmesg 5.3-rc7 w/o Two Monitors
Still not fixed on 5.3-rc7. :(
This issue is still not fixed on release 5.3. Tested as above using Arch Linux. Progress on this issue has been made here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110674#c128 |
