I want to tell you that I haven't got these messages with official Ubuntu kernel (for example: 4.18.0-13). Very strange !!! New 4.20.5 kernel installed and more messages about these errors: [ 3.709780] ACPI Error: No handler for Region [XSCG] (00000000cb95eaf2) [GenericSerialBus] (20181003/evregion-132) [ 3.709804] ACPI Error: Region GenericSerialBus (ID=9) has no handler (20181003/exfldio-265) [ 3.709828] No Local Variables are initialized for Method [_E12] [ 3.709832] No Arguments are initialized for method [_E12] [ 3.709838] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.GPO2._E12, AE_NOT_EXIST (20181003/psparse-516) [ 4.038234] ACPI Error: No handler for Region [XSCG] (00000000cb95eaf2) [GenericSerialBus] (20181003/evregion-132) [ 4.038253] ACPI Error: Region GenericSerialBus (ID=9) has no handler (20181003/exfldio-265) [ 4.038275] No Local Variables are initialized for Method [_E14] [ 4.038279] No Arguments are initialized for method [_E14] [ 4.038284] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.GPO1._E14, AE_NOT_EXIST (20181003/psparse-516) [ 59.976511] ACPI Error: No handler for Region [XSCG] (00000000cb95eaf2) [GenericSerialBus] (20181003/evregion-132) [ 59.976532] ACPI Error: Region GenericSerialBus (ID=9) has no handler (20181003/exfldio-265) [ 59.976553] Initialized Local Variables for Method [_PSR]: [ 59.976556] Local1: 000000008db0210e [RefOf] <Node> Name BMBT Device [ 59.976567] No Arguments are initialized for method [_PSR] [ 59.976574] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.ADP1._PSR, AE_NOT_EXIST (20181003/psparse-516) [ 59.976599] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.TCH1.PPPC, AE_NOT_EXIST (20181003/psparse-516) [ 60.012055] ACPI Error: No handler for Region [XSCG] (00000000cb95eaf2) [GenericSerialBus] (20181003/evregion-132) [ 60.012074] ACPI Error: Region GenericSerialBus (ID=9) has no handler (20181003/exfldio-265) [ 60.012094] Initialized Local Variables for Method [_PSR]: [ 60.012096] Local1: 000000006fb3f6c8 [RefOf] <Node> Name BMBT Device [ 60.012108] No Arguments are initialized for method [_PSR] [ 60.012114] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.ADP1._PSR, AE_NOT_EXIST (20181003/psparse-516) [ 60.012137] ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.TCH2.PPPC, AE_NOT_EXIST (20181003/psparse-516) [ 60.012798] ACPI Error: No handler for Region [XSCG] (00000000cb95eaf2) [GenericSerialBus] (20181003/evregion-132) [ 60.012815] ACPI Error: Region GenericSerialBus (ID=9) has no handler (20181003/exfldio-265) As discusses per email, these errors are caused by the kernel you are using not having the necessary drivers enabled. Since you have confirmed that these errors go away when using a properly configured kernel, I'm closing this bug now. |
