I'm using the ubuntu kernel team's 4.18-rc5 build and I sometimes experience regions flickering (black) until they get fully refreshed (not sure, but this seems to happen after resuming). I have no special kernel options set.

Just for completeness: I did not have this problem on 4.17.5 (again, the mainline kernel from the ubuntu kernel team)

Please attach the dmesg output and Xorg log file corresponding to the problem.

In the meantime I'm at 4.18.1 and the problem never happened since then.
