(In reply to Michel Dänzer from comment #2) > Can you bisect? i cant do the process, but im 99% sure the bad commit is: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/65307f2e05100be34698bcf7545285dd1cf6ff2c ironic because it was supposed to FIX black screens Does this patch fix it: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/210827/ Created attachment 274755 [details]
[PATCH] drm/amd/display: Refine disable VGA
The patch Alex posted might not be enough. Attached patch might be more robust.

Attached patch might be more > robust. this patch doesnt seem to work :( but have in mind that when i applied the patch it said something about a hunk and offsets im using the manjaro pkgbuild adding your patch btw latest manjaro kernel update seems to have fixed the issue (In reply to david becerra from comment #7) > latest manjaro kernel update seems to have fixed the issue but there is an issue in 4.16 the cursor is very choppy but in 4.15.9 is smooth i dont know if it is related (In reply to david becerra from comment #8) > but there is an issue in 4.16 the cursor is very choppy but in 4.15.9 is > smooth Sounds like https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105530 . It gets confusing when tickets evolve from one issue to another.
