Until Xorg is launched, virtual terminal colors look broken.
For example, black became white.

4.12.12 didn't have this problem.

$ uname -r
4.14.8-gentoo-r1

My VGA is AMD HD6450.

I figured out the cause of the issue. I'm going to close this and open a new issue.
