firmware hsashes
This seems to be a bug with a newer firmware used by 4.12. See this thread for a workaround: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=228793 using the firmware "firmware-6.bin_WLAN.RM.4.4.1-00102-QCARMSWP-1" from the https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware.git repos have made my wifi stable enough for everyday work |
Created attachment 256939 [details] dmesg My HP 820 G3 has a QCA6174 wireless card. It never worked good on Linux or Windows, but now there is a new problem. The card gets completly stuck and only disabling WiFi and reenabling it again gets it unstuck. FW is ver WLAN.RM.4.4-00022-QCARMSWPZ-2 api 6 features wowlan,ignore-otp crc32 4d458559 and my hardware is qca6174 hw3.2 target 0x05030000 chip_id 0x00340aff sub 1a56:1535 I now often get "Unknown eventid: 90118" in my messages. And after some usage the card just seems to hang, which it does not on Kernel version 4.11 or 4.10.
