I've seen comments of other users experiencing similar problems, and it seems to be a problem of LVM devices, something related to the beginning of the logical volume. You can assign arbitrary geometry to DM/LVM device, see "man dmsetup" setgeometry command. But all mentioned utilities should be fixed to not require geometry there (and I think that problem was already fixed for fdisk and parted). |
