Actually, it looks like the kernel is working as intended. While the "ath: Country alpha2 being used: AT" bit seems confusing, it is actually fine since AT and NO map to the same set of rules. What I do not see is any reply from crda. Do you have crda installed? Yes, the command crda results in: crda COUNTRY environment variable not set. Do you have crda installed? Yes, the command crda results in: crda COUNTRY environment variable not set. OK, at least that means it is installed. FWIW, crda is not really meant to be run "by hand". In any case, for some reason it doesn't seem to be providing the kernel with the information it is requesting. I'll copy an Ubuntu-savvy person in hopes they can diagnose what I would guess is a distro-specific problem. Would it be possible for you to also open a bug in Launchpad against the Ubuntu kernel? You can do this by running "ubuntu-bug linux" from the command line. It will automatically file the bug in Launchpad as well as attach general debug information. We can then track Ubuntu specific aspects in that bug report and relay any relevant upstream information here if necessary. Thanks in advance. Yes: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/604935 Any further info here? Actually, I'm not sure there actually is a problem here. The country code reported is fine as I explained above. And the regulatory database is reporting a 20dBm max power for NO (and AT) anyway. |
