get same error with kernel 2.6.33.1 same behaviour reported by another personn here : https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=56466#c5 He provides this info : For info, i have exactly same bug on same webcam on mandriva 2010.0 (32bits). webcam doesn't work but with dmesg : gspca: ISOC data error: [0] len=646, status=-71 my kernel is 2.6.31.12-desktop-3mnb my laptop with integrated webcam : Packard Bell EasyNote description: Notebook product: EasyNote_MX36 vendor: PACKARD BELL BV version: PB90EW0202 *-firmware description: BIOS vendor: American Megatrends Inc. physical id: 0 version: 308 (10/02/2007) *-usb:1 description: Generic USB device product: USB2.0 Camera vendor: ALi Corp. physical id: 9 bus info: usb@1:9 version: 1.00 capabilities: usb-2.00 configuration: driver=ALi m5602 maxpower=500mA speed=480.0MB/ s Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0402:5602 ALi Corp. Video Camera Controller ALi : ALi Corp.|USB2.0 Camera (vendor:0402 device:5602) it's definitely a kernel bug....it works only with kernel 2.6.29 or lower...i've made all tries possible Any success if you force the s5k4aa sensor by adding a force_sensor=3 parameter to the gspca_m5602 module? I try to force s5k4aa sensor and I get same ISOC data error. The difference is I get an white image with grey lines moving, nothing more. Moreover the driver worked with s5k83a sensor in previous kernel. Ah, Could you perform a git bisect and try to identify the commit that caused the regression? Ping! Erik...can you give a look to my report? https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16575 |
