Description florz 2010-02-17 00:17:38 UTC
Sound playback starts stuttering as soon as I load the speedstep-smi driver
on my T20 thinkpad (with T22 BIOS), without even having changed the frequency.
Frequency switching otherwise seems to work fine. I can get rid of the
stuttering by causing 100 % CPU load - but that's somewhat counterproductive
given that I wanted to reduce power consumption ... :-)

It's great that kernel bugzilla is back.

can you please verify if the problem still exists in the latest upstream
kernel?
Comment 2 florz 2012-01-18 15:43:04 UTC
I will as soon as I get around to upgrading the kernel, which likely won't be too soon, though--expect a month or two of latency ...
Comment 3 Zhang Rui 2012-01-19 02:08:28 UTC
Get it.
As we will close the bug if we don't get response from the bug reporter for a month, how about this? I'll close it for now, and you can reopen it once you get chance to upgrade the kernel.

Reset it to whatever state it managed to survive the last two years in? =:-)

I've got no clue what makes sense as far as bugzilla is concerned, so do whatever you think is appropriate.
