This warning means that the intel_guc_loader references a firmware, which could not be found on your system. Intel has not yet pushed out the GuC firmware to upstream linux-firmware, as you can see here: https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/tree/i915. GuC v9.14 is for Kabylake and GuC v8.7 is for Broxton, so don't mind because I'm pretty confident you don't have them anyway. :D I'm sure that once Intel actually released them, they'll have the driver updated, granted they release Broxton at all. This is not a wireless bug. Assigning to intel-gfx-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org. Please file new drm/i915 bugs at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=DRI&component=DRM/Intel Anyway, we probably don't care because the hardware is not out yet. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware/+bug/1611124/comments/21 "I have latest linux-firmware on Ubuntu 16.04 and have the same error. Downloaded files from https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads/firmware so far so good." |
