Confirming this issue with the same hardware...present in drm-fixes and drm-linus trees as well. Makes KMS useless on my laptop, even though it otherwise works correctly. Does this still exist in 2.6.31? This has been fixed in 2.6.30 already or maybe 2.6.29. And was caused by vbetool on Debian systems messing with gpu, now not only this package is not mandatory, but there is also in kernel fix for such a cases. I am closing this. |
