Latest working kernel version: None Earliest failing kernel version: Distribution: Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 64 bits Hardware Environment: Macbook Pro 2G (Core 2 Duo + Atheros AR5008) Software Environment: Problem Description: The wireless connection with the last published Intrepid changes is very unstable, the connection is droppped several times per session. Steps to reproduce: Very difficult to reproduce as I didn'nt see any specific sequence to reproduce, just use the network connection, the problem is seen with a local network job as well as with an Internet connection.

I am having the same issue with 2.6.27-11-generic on an Asus G71G which uses ath9k. Session drops a lot. Sometimes removing and re-inserting ath9k resets it and it works for a few minutes before dropping.

2.6.27 is old and fixing this involves a lot of changes which you can already just reap benefits from by using a newer kernel. Please try 2.6.29.
