This entry is being used for tracking a regression from 2.6.26.  Please don't
close it until the problem is fixed in the mainline.

Is it reproducible in 2.6.27-rc3? Or is it only in Ingo's tree?

no, AFAICS it's an input layer locking problem and i've seen no fixes 
for this specific bug.
