We're in the process of migrating all drm/i915 bugs to freedesktop.org bugzilla. Please file a new bug at [1], preferrably with a more complete dmesg including information leading to the crash. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience. [1] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=DRI&component=DRM/Intel |
Created attachment 190211 [details] syslog Starting X causes a kernel crash, which leaves the computer unresponsive. The relevant part of syslog is attached. I used the debian package xserver-xorg-video-intel, version 2:2.99.917-2 (testing). (With version 2:2.21.15-2+b2 there is no crash, but moving windows flicker and most movieplayers consume 200% CPU.) Since a couple of days the crash is easily reproducible. Before that X worked fine for a several weeks. (But version 2:2.21.15-2+b2 of xserver-xorg-video-intel still had the same problem.)
