This bug has also been reported to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13807 with much more details (xorg.conf, Xorg.0.log, kernel boot log, ...)

This problem can be avoided by either setting CONFIG_DMAR_GFX_WA or applying the patches from http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/12/18/3

It's apparrently a known issue until graphics drivers have been changed to use new DMA api's (for more details see https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13807)
