What can I do?
I think maybe It relates to the fat partition, I will try reformat the
disc as fat16.

And , I tested under kernel 2.6.22, It happened also as under
23-rc4-mm1. So, I think it is not specific to rc4-mm1.
But after I reformat the disc (under windows),  It works ok.

does it mean there's nothing to do with kernel about this issue?

This is nothing more than an error in the contents of the partition 
table.  Repartitioning will fix it.  It has nothing to do with the 
kernel.  This bug report can be marked Rejected and closed.
