Hardware Environment: Intel 440BX
Software Environment: Linux Debian 3.1 (Sarge)
Problem Description: Unable to build 3-rd party drivers using serial I/O devices

Steps to reproduce: 

Try to build on i386 the latest Lucent/Agere modem drivers - http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/ltmodem/kernel-2.6/agrsm-20070804.tar.gz
